Bill In Illinois General Assembly
- Senate Bill 3645 and House Bill 5226 (identical to each other): Illinois General Assembly - Bill Status for SB3645 (ilga.gov)
- Requires Illinois public schools to test every five years and mitigate any high levels.
- Allows schools to use IEMA trained staff to do the first “screening test”.
- If tests high, schools then use licensed tester to verify findings.
- If still testing high, requires mitigation within two years.

“I live in Representative XXXX’S district and would like him/her to co-sponsor the Tenant Radon Protection Act HB 5226. It protects school children and staff from radioactive radon.”

If they give you an email address to send them info, send that Legislator’s name and email address to
[email protected] and he will send them a Fact Sheet.
If you own a business with a different address, repeat this process for that address.
