Policy Work to Increase Jobs and Save Lives

Midwest IEA is driven to change policies to help further protect people and generate jobs for the industry.

Working in conjunction with national IEA policy efforts, Midwest IEA seeks to find and take advantage of opportunities to change public and private groups' policies. Depending on the type of opportunities, it may include efforts to push for new state or local laws, change codes or alter private or governmental agencies’ regulations.

Recent successes in Illinois include the establishment of a Taskforce (with affiliates such as American Lung Association) and the passage of a tenant protection law that will save thousands of lives and generate thousands of jobs for our industry over the ensuing years.
